Dear Tylen*l PM

Why is it that during the night you still let me wake up to use the restroom, but when it's time to wake up, you decide to be effective? I have a busy day today and would like for you to wear off please!

xoxo,
Jessi

Happy Weekend

I have several posts in draft form, but I can't find the time/motivation to complete them. I am in OH for a quick trip for the baptism of my goddaughter (she visited last weekend and I will post pictures). A side benefit is spending time with family while I am here! Hopefully Sunday I will be able to get caught up! Have a wonderful weekend. Don't forget to take a moment tomorrow and remember those whose lives were changed on 9/11.

Week 24

24 weeks....had just gotten my hair cut and had actually showered/gotten dressed for the day!!
Because this has been a week of getting caught up, I copied the survey many other bloggers have used.....

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along:24 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss:13 lbs according to my scale
Maternity Clothes:pants and shorts, still my old tops and dresses. Though it is getting harder to cover the belly and I have to make sure the top is pretty long!
Best Moment this week:Watching baby move across my belly - Little one is pretty active!
Gender:Its a SURPRISE!
Movement:Its pretty regular. Sometimes it a little hard, but still its one of the coolest things so far.
Food Craving:Not really. I do enjoy spicy foods. Love Tikka Masala (I owe you all the recipe)
What I miss:hmmm, nothing really.
Sleep: Interrupted. Its been awhile since I slept through the night.
What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery put together. If we could just pick out a paint color (that's another post)
Belly Button: In, but looks like its wider.
Symptoms: Some BH, as many as 4 an hour, but am assured by the doctor that's okay. Still get kind of tired. Thinking I might have a sciatic problem starting....that or my hips just hurt after walking or working out.

(I have a picture and will add when I get the cords for the camera!)

I won, I won

I never win anything, but I just won a giveaway from One Fabulous Mom.....

I won some cookies from A Dozen Eggs....I think baby will like. (Oh who am I kidding, I love frosted sugar cookies, so I will love them!!!)

Yummy! I will give you all a full review once I've had some!

22-23 Weeks

Diaper cake done by my stepMIL

Weeks 22-23 were busy.  Included in those 2 weeks was my trip to Lexington (remember, I posted my diary version of how busy the days were).  The two highlights of these two weeks were: James finally seeing and feeling the baby move and my first shower!  I had been feeling the baby move for a few weeks, but every time I would call to James the baby would either stop or he couldn't feel it.  But sitting out by the pool that Saturday, I caught his attention and baby gave a good kick or punch!  He could see it from about 4 feet away!!  Awesome!
My shower was amazing.  Hosted by members of James' family, it was attending by some of my favorite people in the Lexington area (a notable few were missing).  We are definitely blessed by our family and friends.  We got some great baby stuff!  Pictures are below.  Overall, it was a great couple weeks!
me with the grandmas - can you tell which one is my mom?!
Opening gifts, you can kinda see the bump

Me with my sister and SIL - the aunts
Holding a newborn onesie - I think I got a little teary eyed - its so tiny!!

The incredible generosity of our family and friends

Flowers done by my MIL - so excited to have the hydrangea plant!
(sorry if the pictures are blurry - they look good on my computer!  And the layout, I tried to move things around and it just did not work!)

Sweet Love

Love this picture of James and me from our weekend in Lexington!

Williams Sonoma Fall Catalog

(all pictures from http://www.williams-sonoma.com/?cm_type=gnav)
We got the Williams Sonoma catalog in the mail this weekend. (Though mine has a different picture on the cover)  The recipes in it look amazing.  I think I will have to make:

Think I am ready for some hearty Fall foods???!!!  I'll let you know if I try any of these.  And please let me know if you do as well!

Quick Easy dinner

Last night I created a quick and easy dinner and thought I would share the idea with you.  I can't share a recipe, because well, I just went for it and don't really measure anything anyway.  (PS - James did help with the chopping!)

Pound 2 chicken breasts until thin (or you can buy the thin breasts already)
Using 3 plates, line up some flour with salt and pepper, 1 beaten egg, and some breadcrumbs (I used a combination of panko and Italian seasoned crumbs)
Heat oil in a pan and place the coated chicken breasts in the pan.  Cook an appropriate amount of time on each side (I think it was 3-4 minutes each side)
Meanwhile:
Chop a couple Roma tomatoes, about a tablespoon of onion, 1 clove of fresh garlic, parmigiana reggiano cheese and some basil.  Season with salt, pepper, olive oil and a splash of balsamic vinegar.   Mix.
Plate chicken and top with a healthy portion of tomato mixture.
YUM!

For a side, I sauteed some spinach with onions and garlic, seasoned with red pepper flakes, nutmeg (thanks Rachel Ray), salt and pepper.

It was fairly quick and pretty easy to do.
