Am loving this dress, new at Banana Republic
(shhh..don't tell hubby I got it for an upcoming PR event)

Thunder, Lightening, Rain - But no Tornado

I was staying in Columbus, OH on Wednesday night because I was there for a work meeting. I stayed with our friends Chris and Schal. At 11:45 PM Schal woke me up because the tornado siren was blaring. Fortunately, a twister did not touch down. However the storm was pretty intense. We went back to bed around 12:30 AM, only for the storm to pick up at 2:30 AM. No tornado warning was issued at that time and we were able to go back to sleep.

And now I am back in Atlanta, only hoping it will rain!

We're BACK

We are finally back in Atlanta. I have pictures to post of the last two weekends (weddings included). I am knee high in laundry and unpacking, while trying to work and not fall asleep.

Hope everyone had a great week. I will post pictures when hubby is home and I can get them off the camera.

Happy Weekend!

Out Of Town
We have been out of town since Thursday. It has been pretty crazy with travel to KY and OH. I will return to ATL on Thursday and hopefully have something to post for you then! Until then, have a great week!

Dog Poo

Why is it that I am the only one with a nose sensitive enough to smell B's poo baking in the heat??????

I just got done picking up all the poo in the yard....so I am up on hubby 2-0...definitely his turn next time.

(his idea of taking care of it in May, was to cover it with new pine straw. said sensitive nose can still smell it!!!)

RH Baby and Child

While I am not pregnant and not sure its on the horizon, I have been waiting for this catalog to come in the mail. Some very nice furniture. I am not sure about the color themes though, most are okay, but almost all are pink/blue/green and brown. While it has a very classic look, which is what I will want someday, it doesn't make it very easy to do a gender neutral room. (We don't plan on finding out when the day comes.) Anyway, go to RH Baby and Child and check it out.

Storms

We got some pretty active storms last night, plenty of lightening and thunder. Although he has never done this before, Barley got so scared he jumped up in the bed. He has NEVER slept or been on our bed, so we were both pretty shocked. He got down a couple minutes later, but I don't think he slept very well the rest of the night. He'll be napping all day! Wish I could!

111th Post

My 100th post came and went.....I just noticed on my dashboard that I had posted 110, now 111 times. Wow, they add up fast. I had no idea that I had posted that many times. I hope that you've been able to get a little glimpse into my life through this blog and continue to read.

I had no idea what the "blog world" was about. But, I feel like I have actually made friends and enjoy reading everyone's blogs.

I will take this time to ask all of you to comment so I know who you are! If you leave your blog information, I will add it to my Daily Reads!

Wedding Weekend

As promised, pictures from the wedding this weekend.

This is the cake - Isn't it beautiful? I love the peonies on it!

Plants

I am not sure if I have posted about this before, but I am not a fan of the landscaping that was done on our house. The back yard area is planted too heavily. There is an invasive plant taking over the flower bed in front of the house. And to top it all off, I can only hand water 3 times a week for 25 minutes between Midnight and 10 AM.

I have some ideas to make it look a little better, but am not sure if transplanting in this heat is a good idea. Any green thumbs out there have any suggestions? I would be moving ferns. Also, any suggestions for killing the invasive plant would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have a green thumb, so my poor yard needs all the help it can get!

Busy June

I have been a little light on postings lately. June is going to be a very busy month. We have 3 weddings in a row, friends visiting, my parents visiting, baby shower hosting, tennis matches, and everyday life.

We went to Nashville this past weekend for James' step sister Mollie's weddding. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time. I will post pictures when my wonderful husband sends me some.

This week is fairly busy. We have dinner meeting tonight and Thursday night. Chad and Erin arrive on Friday and will be travelling with us to Greenville, SC on Saturday morning for a friend's wedding. I will post pictures of the wedding next week.

Nothing else very interesting is going on, just working away......

Hope everyone is having a good week.

I just wanted to note that it is 6:30 AM and I have been up for 2 hours, had 2 cups of coffee and been on a 1 hour conference call...for the second time this week!

Oh the beauty of working internationally.

SATC

The movie was fantastic!!! Four of us went. We laughed. We cried. We cried while laughing and laughed while crying. I think they did a great job of keeping with the spirit of the series!

Loved the movie and can't wait to own it!!

Tennis Update

So, when you are a beginner player, 3 HOURS of tennis in 1 DAY is too much. I had a lesson yesterday for an hour, followed by practice for an 1.5 hours and then fun play for another 30-45 minutes. I am SO SORE today. Yikes.

Flip side is that I enjoy it and I am not a terrible beginner!!

More updates to come. The team has a match this weekend. James is playing Line 1.
