Lifesaver

via
I'm not sure if he's just feeling better, its a phase, crying it out has helped or what.  But, we started using this sound machine in JW's room last week and we've been sleeping through the night.  We also started letting him cry to sleep at night (which he hasn't done the last couple nights) and the couple times he did wake up we let him work it out on his own.  He's sleeping from 8:30 PM until 6:30 or 7:30 AM.  This makes for a much happier Mommy and Daddy!  If you don't have one yet - go get one.  And if you're working on a registry - put it on there.  You might not think you will use - but you will.  (We actually got this as a shower gift before JW was born.  But we also had the little lamb.  So we used that for the longest time (9 months) before trying this.  Wish we had tried it sooner.  The lamb worked, but it turns off after 40 minutes and we can set this to run all night long!!)

Weekend Recap

nothing too exciting but I wanted to chronicle our weekend (and a big bummer - I don't have any pictures)

Friday - evening I had a tennis match - my line did not win, but overall the team won.  So a success I guess.  I did get a new racket and I'm looking forward to playing better with it!

Saturday was a busy day.  James had a tennis match in the morning (he won in 2).  Then we went to the Kansas - Georgia Tech football game.  It was JW's first trip to a game.  He seemed to have fun.  Not sure if it was the game or playing with the girls that sit in front of us.

After the game we went to Antico for pizza.  Some of the best pizza in Atlanta!  Very authentic Italian!  We all just relaxed at the house once we got home.  When JW went to bed, James and I watched No Strings Attached.  Not a bad movie.  And I actually stayed awake for the whole thing - impressive!

Sunday morning we finally went back to church.  JW spent some time in the nursery - he looked like he had a great time - he was playing and giggling when I went to get him.  After church we had a meeting to go over a landscape design quote, then I headed to my tennis match.  (Not before JW had a meltdown in the car and took his morning nap way too late.)  We won our match and the team won all five lines - Yea!!  I think the naps messed with JW, he was a bit fussy for Daddy while I was gone.  He as in bed around 8:30 though with very little fuss.  We ate dinner and James went to bed.  He had an early flight to catch.  I stayed up a bit later reading The Help - yes, I am finally reading it.  So far so good!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and got to enjoy some Fall weather!!
