Random

This is the Happy Birthday banner we had hanging for JW's birthday party.  And it is still hanging.  I think it's time to come down, don't you?

I had kind of forgotten about it actually.  But, I had a cabinet guy come over yesterday to measure for some doors and a new drawer.  His first comment was - who's birthday is it.  Well, JW's was last month and James' was the 4th....yikes....a little embarrassing.

So the cabinet maker is going to make doors for this under counter area.  I don't mind it being open when it's organized (it didn't look too bad last night) but JW LOVES to stand up and pull everything off the shelves.  So, doors it is.

The opening under the microwave was meant for a warming drawer.  We have 2 ovens (a small one and large one) and really in the last four years have not wanted/had a need for a warming drawer.  So to hide clutter and keep JW out, we're having a drawer built for that space.  I figure it will be a good one to store JW's things (sippy cups, plates, bowls, etc).

Random post, but what was going on in my world yesterday (besides work, playing with JW, a quick playdate before dinner and the regular bedtime routine.)

(sorry for terrible quality pics - taken with iPhone and the lighting was horrible)

Weekend Recap

nothing too exciting but I wanted to chronicle our weekend (and a big bummer - I don't have any pictures)

Friday - evening I had a tennis match - my line did not win, but overall the team won.  So a success I guess.  I did get a new racket and I'm looking forward to playing better with it!

Saturday was a busy day.  James had a tennis match in the morning (he won in 2).  Then we went to the Kansas - Georgia Tech football game.  It was JW's first trip to a game.  He seemed to have fun.  Not sure if it was the game or playing with the girls that sit in front of us.

After the game we went to Antico for pizza.  Some of the best pizza in Atlanta!  Very authentic Italian!  We all just relaxed at the house once we got home.  When JW went to bed, James and I watched No Strings Attached.  Not a bad movie.  And I actually stayed awake for the whole thing - impressive!

Sunday morning we finally went back to church.  JW spent some time in the nursery - he looked like he had a great time - he was playing and giggling when I went to get him.  After church we had a meeting to go over a landscape design quote, then I headed to my tennis match.  (Not before JW had a meltdown in the car and took his morning nap way too late.)  We won our match and the team won all five lines - Yea!!  I think the naps messed with JW, he was a bit fussy for Daddy while I was gone.  He as in bed around 8:30 though with very little fuss.  We ate dinner and James went to bed.  He had an early flight to catch.  I stayed up a bit later reading The Help - yes, I am finally reading it.  So far so good!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and got to enjoy some Fall weather!!
