I was reading through my other notes to you today and got teary, must be the hormones sinking in. We had an ultrasound last Friday and got to see you. You’re still in there, moving around. Although you did measure a day or two behind where we thought we were. I imagine that will go back and forth throughout. You gave us a great picture...full face view with your arms up! Your grandma called you “touchdown baby.” It definitely does look like a victory pose. Your dad is proud and excited. He has the picture on his phone and just lights up when he gets to show it to someone! Speaking of telling people, most people are now aware of your impending arrival. I told work while there last week. They seem genuinely excited for us. I still have to figure out how much time off I will get to bond with you.
You are still sapping my energy. Workouts are few and far between, though that could also be due to the travel I’ve done the last couple weeks. I’m still playing tennis, but the heat is starting to get to me. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to do that. Evening tennis isn’t so bad, its the 11:00AM Saturday morning tennis that’s a problem. We’re entering 2nd trimester territory and I’m hoping you give me some of my energy back! We have a little more travel planned and I’m hoping by August we’ll be ready to think about your room and all the goodies we’ll need for you. We get to see you again on Monday since you weren’t big enough for a measurement last time....We’re looking forward to it...hopefully you give us another good picture! Love you already!

Awww...how sweet, Jessi! You'll be SO happy to have these posts to look back on one day (and so will baby Freeman). Don't worry, your energy will bounce back in the second trimester. I remember toward the end of the first trimester, it was all I could do not to fall asleep at work and I would pass out on the couch every night at 6:30...then the second trimester came and it was back to normal!
