Bahamas

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. We arrived Friday late afternoon and returned to ATL late yesterday. We enjoyed 6 days of Sun, Fun, Good Friends and Good Food. We stayed at Serendipity (the Harvey house on Eleuthera) and explored the Island. We visited a different beach everyday, and most days had the beach to ourselves. (you'll have to view the pictures from end to beginning because Blogger is not being very friendly with my upload!)

Sunset on the 2nd to last night....
Leaving Tippy's (great beach front restaurant....Mariah Carey even had her rehearsal or reception here, forget which one)
Twin Cove Beach - we actually crossed the sand to a little island in between the two coves to sunbathe...unfortunately we were there as the tide was coming in, so it only lasted until noon..then it was to Tippy's for lunch.

Beach at Harbor Island...we took the ferry across. It was amazing as there were probably only 10-12 people on the entire stretch of beach!
The four of us after lunch at Pink Sand's beach restaurant...some of the best fish tacos I have ever had....will definitely try to find a similar restaurant.
French Leave Beach (the former ClubMed) Again, a long stretch of beach and we saw a total of 4 other people in the couple hours we were there...FABULOUS!
James and I goofing off at the beach by Cocodimama (I think its called Reveler's Beach)....it was a great beach for finding shells!

Dancing at the Inn after dinner on Saturday night...was lots of fun!
Dinner Saturday night. R had some of the hottest hot sauce ever, you're seeing the effects. L looks great in the picture, maybe we can crop it :)

Beach Day 1 - Rainbow - a few other people on this beach, including the guy that refused to wear swim trunks in the ocean....good thing I was looking the other way..BOTH TIMES!!
Morning Coffee at the house before heading to the beach...It was so relaxing to enjoy coffee and a book first thing....

L and I at the Nassau airport, waiting for our flight to Eleuthera.
Oh to be at the beginning of our week at the beach!!

We're BACK

for just a bit!

Vacation was wonderful!!! I will post pictures later today. Now, I am heading to the gym for a much needed workout!!

Figured it out

Why I am so overwhelmed...Travelling 5 of the next 6 weeks.

Tuesday, December 9

Feeling a bit better...

...so I have now completed 5 hours of CPE (thank you ACL for the free online Webinars), vacuumed and am getting ready to fold clothes and watch a TV show.....

Oh, and I did open a bottle of wine, have just one glass. Maybe that will relax me a bit.

;)

update....the wine put me to sleep, but upset my stomach.

Overwhelmed

I know its a typical feeling during the holiday season, but I don't think I have felt like this before. Remind me not to take vacation the week before travelling for Christmas which is the week before travelling for New Years...I think we were smoking something when we decided this.

And because of this, there will be no work for me the rest of the year - so I have spent the last couple days creating my list of work projects and making sure everything gets done (we wont have phone or internet while on vacation - I know the best possible type of vacation). Plus, I don't want to leave our house a disaster while gone. And we have to coordinate with the couple who will be taking Barley out for us. I need to finish laundry so we can pack. And when packing we have to leave room for food and James' mom's stuff we're taking down for her. And, since time will be tight upon our return, we have to get all Christmas shopping done...well everyone is done except my husband...yes, unfortunately that is the last person I have to buy for. You would think it would be first on my list....in my defense, he is kind of hard to buy for....

Oh and I forgot, I have to finish 35 hours of CPE before the end of the year....

And you would think I would like a glass of red wine....hmm not really...I just want to curl up in my bed and wish it all away...

Oh and another thing, we have to watch some of our DVR stuff or we wont be able to record any thing while we're gone....
