I'm DONE...

...sleeping on the floor (we were on blow up mattresses in Lexington the last 3 nights)

...travelling and will be home for a bit (Seattle, Dallas, then Lexington, it was a lot of being gone)

...not working out (i am going to get motivated - May is the month)

...looking at bare hardwood planks (they stained our floors while we were on above mentioned trips)

...b**chin' for the night (i think i will head upstairs and watch some TV - unpacking and laundry can wait for tomorrow)

BLOGGER

YOU'RE KILLIN' ME!!!

I have typed a post about our weekend and crazy life and then you have an error and it is not posted, nor is it saved anywhere....Please fix whatever problems you have. I only have a finite amount of time to post to my blog and I do not enjoy typing it over and over.

(Anyone else having this problem?)

Here's hoping this will post......

(update...so of course this post was up right away and I did find my other one saved as a draft, so life in blog land is back to normal. Blogger, I apologize for my ranting)

CRAZY

The last 2 weeks have been absolutely crazy. (I am sure you guys are wondering when my life will settle down, I am too!!) I got back from Seattle last Monday. We left on Thursday afternoon to visit friends in Dallas. We had a great time. Their daughters were celebrating birthdays (3 and 1), so we got to attend the party - it was fantastic. They had a petting zoo, pony rides and a jump house. When did kid's parties get so fun?? Today we are leaving for Lexington. James and Ricky have business meetings and I am going into the office for a bit. We are entertaining one of their business clients on Wednesday afternoon at Keeneland and then back to ATL on Thursday. We will be in town this weekend, but I will be holding down the fort during a yard sale while James is playing tennis. Then we will be getting ready for the big Derby Party.

So, I apologize ahead of time for my lack of posts. And hopefully things will settle down a bit so I don't feel like a chicken with my head cut off.

Seattle

Hi all!! My update is a bit late, but we are very busy this couple weeks. (I returned on Monday and we are leaving tomorrow for Dallas)

Seattle was wonderful. The weather was beautiful, the scenery great (see picture), the company fantastic and just overall a great time! It was great to see Dawn and her mom and to meet the other girls. I am looking forward to the wedding!!

Weekend Update

Just a bit late...

On Friday we ate Pizza from the new pizza parlor in our neighborhood. I think we were in bed by 9:30....can you tell we're party animals ;)

On Saturday we worked in the garage. One side of our garage was piled high with boxes of old stuff we both needed to go through. We stopped around 4:30. We went to dinner here for date night. (things had been kind of crazy lately, so we were looking forward to some time alone to catch up) YUM..the food was fantastic and we got there just in time. I think we waited 10 minutes, but I am sure the wait was up to an hour by the time we left. Great Mexican type food! Loved it and am thinking it might become a regular in our restaurant listing! After that we came home to watch the Kansas v. UNC game...we all know how it turned out, so we were kind of bummed!

Sunday was not too exciting. More cleaning out, a nap here and there. After church we went to Harry's (which is the local Whole Foods) for groceries. We got some kabobs (is that how you spell it?) Yum. Even better was the left over chicken on my salad Monday!

All in all a good weekend! Hope everyone enjoyed their's as well. I am off to Seattle this weekend for my friend Dawn's bachelorette party. We are staying in Leavenworth and will have a relaxing weekend!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone. I have had a pretty good week. I am starting to enjoy/get the hang of this working from home thing!

My sweet husband invited me out for lunch on Tuesday and I met a friend out today!!

Have a wonderful weekend. Not too much planned here other than a date night and maybe some furniture painting! Will post pictures if we get to it this weekend!

Also, we will be watching basketball and pulling for UNC (hubby went there!)

What's in my name

So I found this over on Kerry's blog and thought I would take a look. Like Kerry, my comments are in italics afterwards.....

What Jessi Means

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.
You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice. (I would like to think this is true.)

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. (not rocking the boat, I can see that. Flaky and irresponsible, not really. Well unless I have a lot of time on my hands, then I tend to get off track, which I guess is what they are saying in the next sentence.)
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. (yikes, I don't think so, but that would be fun)

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. (I don't think it is crushing the weak. Its just doing what you have to to get things done.)

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. (wow, this is true)

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. (not entirely true. If I am passionate about it, the enthusiasm lasts)

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. (again, not entirely true. I would like to think I finish the important ones - didn't they say that above?)

If you want to find out what's in your name....go here.
