Baby Registry Help

Ladies (and gentlemen if you are reading) I need some help.  There is a shower being planned for me in August (due to travel schedules and other things, this timing just works well).  We will be going to register next week.  (I know, I know, invitations will go out before I have even registered, slacker on my part!)  Please tell me what you couldn't live without and what I can't forget to add!!!  I am planning on registering at Babies R Us and Target for now.

THANK YOU!!!

Definitely a "swaddle me" blanket is what we couldn't live without!

Alrighty, here you go....
Miracle or Swaddle me blankets for sure (though Spence can still bust out of them), a few of the halo sleep sacks (fleece and cotton), cute baskets for the closet and to hold diapers and wipes next to the changing pad on top of the dresser, a few different covers for the changing pad, the lamb swing by Fischer Price (AWESOME), the Ergo carrier (it can carry a lot more weight than the bjorn and while a little more bulky, we adore it and use it ALL the time), a sling (I have a Mod Mum) and use it whenever I'm not using the Ergo (trust me, you'll carry the baby around ALL the time and will need more than one kind of carrier to switch things up), a skip hop diaper bag, the basic pack of 10 white bibs from BRU (since you aren't finding out, they'll match everything!). We have the baby jogger city elite stroller and LOVE it- it's SOOOO easy to fold and it's about as light as you can get for a "big" stroller. I don't have an umbrella stroller yet, but I'll probably get a McLaren when I do. If you are getting a pack n play, get the thick padded cover rather than the sheets. I love that it's cozier. I never ever use the sheet we got. SYT adores the Tommee Tippee bottles, and I've heard that they're really great from a LOT of breastfeeding moms. If you aren't nursing, they may not be a necessity, but if you are the babies transition well from one to the other. We have the frog tub from BRU and it has worked out well for us. I would definitely get a cd player with a clock or an ipod dock with a clock for the nursery. I would also register for the adult cds that they have made into lullabys (Coldplay, etc). You'll get sick of regular lullabys pretty quickly. Register for at LEAST 3 packs of the thick diaper cloths. You'll use them like crazy for burp cloths, and they're so much thicker and absorbant than any other burp cloths you can buy

Shoot me an email if you have any other questions. I don't mind answering any you have!!

I don't have any kids but I'm constantly around new moms... Things that I've heard you HAVE to have... a Bumbo seat (for later) and a Diaper Genie. Oh, and also one of those diaper changing station cover things that you put OVER the diaper changing stations that are in the ladies bathroom. They're usually made of plastic and have different compartments and it folds up into a small convient rectangular shape.
