Thanksgiving

James and I went to Greensboro to spend the holiday with his Dad and Ali. We left on Wednesday...with the rest of the southeast...Charlotte was a nightmare. Good thing I was not driving and got to take a nap, I might have lost it! :)

On Thanksgiving morning James and I ran the Greensboro Gobbler 5K. It was an early morning and a bit chilly. Both of us have been running a lot lately, but mostly inside. Well, this was outside and the trail, definitely full of hills. I finished in a little over 30 mins, not the greatest, but okay given the hills. I am glad we got a workout in...its the last one I did.

Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful...Ali and I worked in the kitchen. I made sweet potato souffle...oh my was it delish! I had 2 helpings (the 2nd one was my dessert). After dinner I crashed for about 30 minutes, too much food. The gentlemen actually did the dishes, I know a shocker really (there are pictures, I will post one when I receive it), but was nice to not have to worry about it. (Ali and I had done most of the dishes as we worked, so it was mainly dinnerware)

Friday Ali and I ran errands. We went to Costco, Replacements Ltd, the Shoe Market, and had lunch. That evening we all went to see the new Bond movie - good, but not great. Afterwards James and I went to meet up with some of his high school friends. It was nice to meet some of them.

We headed home on Saturday to avoid traffic, and we did until arriving in GA...the GA v. GA Tech game was finishing and all the fans were heading home and we were in the middle of it! Not too fun, but again, I wasn't driving and slept for about the first hour and a half!! :)

Overall a great holiday...it was nice to spend it in the US this year!!!

We went for a walk before Thanksgiving dinner (don't mind the casual sneakers). The weather was beautiful! Notice the Dream sweater....I still LOVE IT!!
