Weekend Recap

I spent Thursday - Sunday in Kentucky! (I know how could I head north with the SEC tourny here in ATL, but I did miss all the weather and wouldn't have been at the games anyway). I had a fantastic 4 days. On Thursday I went into the office. But that evening, I got to meet Maggi (Congratulations Molly and John). Maggi was born on Weds morning, so I was very excited to get to see her and spend some time with Molly. After, I had dinner with Jamie. It was great to catch up. After spending the night at my MIL's empty house (its for sale), I went back into work for a bit. Then lunch with KJ (always good to see you). After lunch I headed downtown to get a drivers license. I am not sure if I have shared with you all this drama, so here it goes:

When we were living in NL, I had to trade my KY license in for a NL drivers license. Which was fine until we decided to move back. I went to the GA license bureau (or whatever they are calling it now) to exchange my NL license for a GA license. Well, in order to do that I would have to take the written AND the driving exam. And the best part, if I didn't pass either part I would leave with only a permit - basically someone would have to come pick me up. I don't know about you, but I just didn't trust myself enough to attempt both exams. So, I thought I would try my luck with KY. And boy did KY come through for me....no problems, (other than needing a copy of marriage cert since my name had changed) out in 20 minutes and NO tests!!

After getting my license I headed to Louisville to visit Jennifer. Spent a great evening with her and "the Germans". On Saturday I went to my friend Sara's shower (http://southerncomfort-scd.blogspot.com/) and dinner with a group of sorority sisters. It was very fun to see everyone again. Spent the night with Nikki and then headed back to GA.....

What a great weekend! It was wonderful to see and hang out with all my KY friends! I miss you!!
